I offer family photoshoots in my East London photography studio, outdoors (usually in Victoria Park in East London, though some families also choose to do a family photoshoot at central London landmarks, especially if they are leaving the area or just on vacation), and of course, lifestyle shoots in your home. More details on each shoot type below. Remember that family sessions are wonderful to invite the extended family to as well.
OUTDOORS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
Outdoors sessions are ideal for children who like to explore, or if you prefer the variety of environments and colours an outdoors location can provide for your photos. I do most of my outdoors sessions in Victoria Park, (East London, E8 / E3). This beautiful park has a wide variety of landscapes and backdrops to provide you with a varied gallery of portraits. As I know the park very well; I plan our photoshoot route, based on your children’s ages and personalities; as well as the season, weather and time of day, so that I can get the most flattering light for the portraits.
My style is to lightly direct the shoot, giving helpful advice on things like where to place your hands and feet etc and which way to turn for the most flattering, natural light, so that you feel confident in what I capture being well-composed yet still a naturally comfortable-looking portrait. This approach means that the standard 45 min session is usually long enough to capture a gallery of around 20 different portraits with families or around 3-4 people, rather than leaving a ‘good shot’ to chance.
Outdoors sessions take place throughout the year, except for when the weather is extremely wet! I offer one weekend date a month for outdoors photoshoots in Victoria Park, except for the autumn when I offer 2-3 weekend outdoors dates a month. These autumn session book out well in advance, so early booking is strongly recommended. After your session, I review all the images taken, select a shortlist of around 20 of the best and most varied images, which I will then edit and invite you to view at your gallery ordering and viewing session a couple of weeks later at my East London Studio. At this session you can pick which images you would like to purchase and keep and what format you would like your images in. Most families spend around £750-£1100 on their digital images and wall art/album; prices start from £335.
